Ran half a mile (possibly a little longer, but erring on the short side) barefoot on a cement bike path. Felt very good, no hot spots or blisters, feet were doing a good job cushioning, etc. Very nice experience and beautiful weather. Spent all day on my feet in VFFs, on assorted surfaces and pavement/cement for at least 2-3 hours.
Attempted to do more VFF running in the afternoon -- I still felt fresh but after one block my feet told me to stop ... felt bruise-like soreness on the balls of my feet, so I guess I got a more intense morning run than I thought, or else the combination w/all day in VFFs was about the maximum the feet could handle.
